About Your Teacher Kelly (aka)
Kelly is a well-accomplished pianist and piano teacher. From international competitions and over 16 years of teaching experience, she has honed a holistic approach to piano instruction for beginning and early advanced students of different ages.
Teacher Kelly is a classically trained pianist who has been playing piano for more than 25 years, and she remains active as a solo pianist and collaborative musician whose career bridged between Mongolia and the US, where she resides. She was born and raised in Ulaanbaatar, Mongolia. Kelly started taking private piano lessons at the age of 7 and a half. She continued her studies throughout her childhood and went to attend the Music and Dance College of Mongolia to study classical piano where her first piano teacher became a professor.
The piano is a very visual and tactile instrument. Kelly focuses on spending consistent one-on-one teaching time with her students and she is passionate about creating personalized musical lessons to her each student.
She understands that learning piano at a young age helps students to develop their left brain, fine motor skills as well as their ears.
By learning how to distinguish different sounds, and identify melodies with high and low patterns, they will also learn how to string it all together to make music.
Through teaching a variety of genres, she has learned how to tailor each lesson to the student's interests and pace so they can progress and enjoy.
Ultimately, Kelly strives to instill a lifelong love of music in her students and show them that no dream is ever too big to achieve!
